Committee

The Cultus Lake Park Governance Committee is the body in charge of the Cultus Lake Park Governance Study.  In this capacity, the Committee is responsible for:

The Committee is focused primarily on Cultus Lake Park and its residents.  The Committee also, however, wishes to understand how changes to the system of local governance in the Park may affect residents of Chilliwack, ratepayers of affected FVRD services, and the Soowahlie First Nation.

The Committee is expected to remain unbiased and neutral with respect to the governance options being considered.  It is not the Committee's role to advocate on behalf of a particular future for Cultus Lake Park.  The Committee is concerned solely with ensuring that the necessary information is developed and communicated in an objective fashion so that residents of the Park, and others interested in the Park, can fully understand the implications of a change in Park governance.

All Committee meetings are open to the public (for a schedule of meetings, go to Calendar of Events).  Similarly, all materials produced by the Committee and its consultants are public documents.  They will be posted to this website once they have received Committee approval.

For further detail on the role, structure and procedures of the Governance Committee, see the Committee's Terms of Reference.
